How we make money

Last updated: October 5, 2026 (AZ)

Canada Pharmacy Review is a free website for visitors. We earn money when you use certain links to US-legal prescription savings and telehealth services. This page explains that in plain language.

Short version

We may earn a commission if you click a labeled link and sign up, fill a prescription with a discount card, or become a customer of a partner. That commission comes from the partner (or its affiliate network), not from an extra charge added on top of your price by us.

Canadian and other international pharmacy listings on this site are for verification status and reviews only. We do not currently place affiliate links to those pharmacies.

What we monetize

  • US prescription discount cards (examples we may partner with after approval: SingleCare, GoodRx, LowerMyRx / National Drug Card-type programs).
  • US telehealth brands (examples we may partner with after approval: Ro, Hims & Hers, PlushCare, Nurx)—only for appropriate, non-controlled care pathways allowed by the partner’s rules.
  • Verified US online pharmacies, if and when a legitimate publisher program exists and the pharmacy meets our LegitScript/NABP + state-license standard.
  • Possibly clearly labeled sponsored placements for verified US partners only. Sponsored status never changes star ratings or review visibility.

Affiliate links use a redirect path (for example /go/...) and should include rel="sponsored" (and typically nofollow) for search engines.

What we do not monetize (current policy)

  • Affiliate links to Canadian or other foreign pharmacies shipping into the US.
  • Any pharmacy or offer involving controlled substances.
  • Any site that advertises prescription drugs without a valid prescription.
  • Programs that falsely claim CIPA/LegitScript/NABP credentials we cannot confirm on official lists.

How money relates to trust signals

  • Verification status (CIPA / LegitScript / NABP) is based on public lists and our dated checks—not on whether a company pays us.
  • Reviews are submitted by users, held for moderation under a sentiment-neutral review policy, and are never bought or seeded by us.
  • We do not claim to be “independent” of the brands we earn commissions from. When a commercial relationship exists, we disclose it.
  • A commission does not guarantee the lowest price or that a product is right for you.

Where you will see disclosures

  • Near affiliate buttons and comparison tables (not only in the footer).
  • On this page.
  • In a short sitewide notice where affiliate content appears.

Example short disclosure we reuse:

We may earn a commission if you sign up through this link. It does not change the price you are quoted and does not affect our verification checks or review moderation.

Other possible revenue later

We may test display advertising on educational guide pages only (not on pharmacy listing pages that include visit/affiliate buttons), subject to ad-network health policies. We may also offer a house-branded discount card that pays per pharmacy claim. If we add those, we will update this page.
